Chapel of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa

The chapel was built in 1928, founded by Sołtys family (nickname Górzanów). Residents who had a long way to the church built it in order to gather around and pray together. The chapel is an example of so-called Loretan chapels, buildings with a bell which were constructed to protect people from storms. On 17th July 1967 Franciszek Kapołka was fatally struck by lightning. The biggest peak of Polish Spisz, Kuraszowski Wierch (1040 m), is located near Łapszanka.
